Las Negras is a small fishing village with ca. 300 inhabitants; a unique spot at the coast, where you're not confronted with high blocks and mass tourism. A lovely spot for nature lovers, who like to enjoy the fantastic rock formations, little coves and the Mediterranean Sea in all quiet. Activities like snorkeling, fishing, mountainbiking, horse riding, canoeing and walking are possible in this nice area. The village is build in Moorish style, with roof terraces and a great feeling for decoration and  fresh colors. Las Negras is situated in the middle of a protected area, Cabo de Gata. This area is at the south-eastern part of Spain, nearby Almeria and the Sierra Nevada. In Cabo de Gata, semi-desert at sea, there is a flamingo lake and there are good possibilities for walking. Some villages are only accesible by boat or on foot.
